  • Description:

“Jimmy V” was born James Voytko Jr, on July 4th, 1980 in Johnstown, PA. Being from western PA his influences range anywhere from traditional hymns in church to everything and anything you would hear on the radio or in your favorite bar. He started his music career while in junior and senior high school by first playing piano in a local Catholic church at age 14. By the time he graduated he was working with several bands playing, jazz, blues, oldies, Motown, classic rock, modern rock, and country music. He then expanded his horizons and started traveling to Nashville, TN and worked with many writers, bands, and performers in the Nashville music industry. Working in such venues has taken him all over the country playing for and being the opening act for many larger groups such as: CCR (revisited), The Kentucky Head Hunters, Toby Keith, and Kenny Chesney to name a few.

In 2005 he decided to start a solo career as a singer/songwriter and entertainer playing different local bars in his hometown and then expanding from there. He then found the concept of Dueling Piano Bars while on vacation in Myrtle Beach one summer. He decided to audition for Howl at the Moon Dueling Piano Bars, the largest dueling piano bar chain in the world, and was offered the job in October of 2007.  Jimmy has, since then, expanded his career to work on a national level as a freelance musician/dueling piano player.
